Heather received a second year of funding from the Washington University Nutrition and Obesity Research Center Pilot and Feasibility Studies Program (NORC). Her research project is titled “Methylation profiling parent-of-origin effects on dietary obesity in mice”.

 

 

September 2013

Our paper entitled “Genomic imprinting and parent-of-origin effects on complex traits” has been published and is available here.

Heather recently received an NIH-K01 Mentored Career Development Award from the NIDDK. With this award, she is conducting her research in the Division of Endocrinology, Metabolism and Lipid Research. She is also training in molecular physiology and learning about clinical aspects of metabolic disease as part of her career development.
